This page describes the feedback presented to twins on completion of the 18 Year Navigation web activities.
After completing the last of the 30 Navigation web study activities (missions), each twin was presented with a personalised feedback page. This page was only presented once; on logging in at a later date, the feedback page was not presented again.
The feedback page was designed to provide each twin with positive feedback relating to their performance in the Navigation battery. While not meaningful in terms of actual scores obtained in the Navigation missions, the feedback aimed to praise the performance in a mission type in which the twin had been relatively successful.
A sample image of the feedback page is reproduced below, as it would have appeared to a twin after completing the Navigation web battery. In this example, the participant is praised for their performance in 'navigating using landmarks' (in Orientation Landmark missions), and has been awarded the corresponding title of 'Homing Pigeon'.
